Our facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities.

 

This site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in the areas of medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense, and aerospace, as well as research and development. 

 

We are presently seeking an Business Development Manager that will Oversee the qualification of inbound leads and outbound prospecting efforts.


Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee the qualification of inbound leads and outbound prospecting efforts.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to define and refine lead qualification criteria.

  • Ensure a steady flow of qualified leads to the sales team by improving lead scoring and segmentation.

  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies (cold calls, emails, social media, etc.) to generate new business opportunities.

  • Use CRM systems to track lead progress, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights.

  • Continuously assess and adjust strategies to improve sales development effectiveness.

  • Work closely with sales leadership to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads to the sales team.

  • Provide marketing with feedback on lead quality and collaborate on campaign adjustments based on team insights.

  • Support sales and marketing teams in creating compelling sales messaging and content.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Identify potential verticals, markets, and industries that can benefit from the company’s offerings.

  • Provide insights to leadership on market conditions, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.

Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • 5–10 years of experience in sales development.

  • Experience with IR lamp, microwave, or UVLED technologies is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, CRM software, and sales development tools (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Proven experience in sales development, inside sales, or B2B sales (typically 5–10 years).

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • A self-starter with a proactive approach to solving challenges and driving team success.
