Job summary:

Reporting to the SVP Human Resources, the HR Manager is responsible for developing and ensuring the strategic and day-to-day management of human resources across the Vaudreuil and Ville St-Laurent sites. He/she determines human resources needs and priorities, and ensures compliance with existing HR practices, policies and programs.

 

Specific responsibilities

For the groups assigned to him/her, the person is responsible for:

    • Support managers in strategic planning, performance management, employee relations management, team mobilization and cohesion, work organization, change management strategies and leadership development.
    • Ensure that human resources policies are correctly applied and comply with legal regulations.
    • Administer recruitment processes for assigned group(s): resume evaluation, candidate interviews, reference checks, preparation and presentation of job offers.
    • Participate in the development of the compensation structure: job content evaluation, preparation of job descriptions, maintenance of pay equity, evaluation and/or proposal of salary adjustments.
    • Manage the company's benefits programs.
    • Actively collaborate in the management of labor relations and the negotiation collective agreements, including training supervisors in the interpretation of collective agreements.
    • Analyze employee and manager training needs and implement appropriate development plans.
    • Set up and monitor performance indicators to measure the efficiency of the human resources department.
    • Participate in drawing up the department's budget.
    • All other relate tasks.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, industrial relations or equivalent.
  • At least 15 years' experience as an HR generalist or HR business partner, 5 of which in a management or executive role
  • Manufacturing experience an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English are mandatory.
  • Experience in a unionized environment and/or experience in labor relations.
  • Initiative, autonomy, flexibility, positive attitude and results-oriented.  
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong work ethic.
