Our facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities.
This site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in the areas of medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense and aerospace, as well as research and development.
We are presently seeking Assembly Technician that will support the team to fulfill customer's expectations.
Main responsibilities:
- Build, inspect and package mechanical and optical assembly to specified assembly rates using various tools such as tweezers, syringe pump, torque and microscope.
- Ensure quality of manufactured assemblies and finished goods.
- Assemble mirrors, prism, and lenses according to APS.
- Familiarity with required quality and departmental procedures.
- Ensure good documentation, fill up all necessary documentation for job traveling and traceability.
- Maintain on shop floor 6S always housekeeping and discipline at the respective working areas including Complies with all company rules, Policies and procedures. Work and behave safely by following safety rules and regulations.
- Read and follow relevant APS, work instruction and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Highlight issues to Section Leader and seek help to solve the issues daily.
- Coordinate and work closely with Engineer on the FAT projects.
- Support new methods and concepts for improvement programs.
- Responsible to perform simple trouble shooting on testing.
- Independent and able to maintain good discipline with an eye for details and able to work overtime when in need.
- Performing repair services job according to instruction or engineering procedure.
- Ensure Compliance all safety procedures, safe handling of tools when performing servicing job and reports all unsafe conditions to Section Leader.
Requirements:
- GCE ’N’ Level or Technical Certificate and above.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing or process driven environment.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Assembly production.
- Able to interpret Mechanical Assembly drawing.
- Good team player.
- Able to work under minimum supervision.
