Senior Electronics Engineer

Job Description:

• Liaise with external suppliers on product specifications, technical drawings, and product-related issues.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for existing products, including assisting with end-of-life (EOL) component management and offering engineering support to SEMI/laser production lines for Project Hermes and Project Artemis.
• Design and optimize electrical and electronic systems for semiconductor and laser products to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Develop, analyze, and test circuits for optical systems, including power supplies, control units, and signal processing components.
• Re-engineer existing designs to reduce costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve Design for Manufacturability (DFM) processes, ensuring efficient and scalable production.
• Provide technical support to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and consistent product quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability in laser system designs and production processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (BEng) or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical circuit and PCB layout design, preferably in the semiconductor or precision engineering industry.
• Proficient in the use of standard electronic test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, laboratory power supplies, and digital multimeters.
• Experienced in designing electronic schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or equivalent platforms.
• Working knowledge of IPC standards and their application in PCB design and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and reliability.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong manufacturing excellence mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient, and on-time products.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge in FMEA and relevant Six Sigma methodologies.
• Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS9100D.
• Basic understanding and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
