Our Excelitas site in Regen is our centre of excellence for high-precision optics. From development to production on state-of-the-art machines, specialists work here with passion to meet all customer requirements on a daily basis. A wide range of highly precise optical components are reliably supplied to a wide variety of markets and applications. Examples of applications include dental cameras and endoscopes in medical applications, head-up displays in the aerospace industry, aerial cameras and a wide range of special solutions in the field of research and development.

Main Responsibilities

• Technical and managerial oversight of the Maintenance and Facility Management departments
• Responsible for ensuring the availability of all machinery and equipment, including all central utility systems (power, ventilation, plumbing, compressed air, vacuum, and supplies of cooling lubricants and polishing agents)
• Responsible for analyzing malfunctions and developing sustainable corrective measures
• Establishment of a preventive maintenance system
• Point of contact for external service providers, government agencies, and authorities
• Responsible for budget preparation and adherence within the department, taking into account “make or buy” considerations
• Coordinating the maintenance and upkeep of the infrastructure
• Assuming project responsibility for renovation measures and/or structural changes
• Responsible for compliance with all legal regulations
• Willingness to work occasional weekends

Requirements

• A successfully completed technical degree, or technical/science-based vocational training with further training as a technician, or comparable practical professional experience
• High sense of quality and responsibility, as well as an independent, proactive, and team-oriented approach to thinking and working
• Several years of professional experience, including leadership experience
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills
• Proficiency in common software (SAP, MS Office, etc.)
• Hands-on mentality
• Customer focus
