Our Excelitas site in Regen is our centre of excellence for high-precision optics. From development to production on state-of-the-art machines, specialists work here with passion to meet all customer requirements on a daily basis. A wide range of highly precise optical components are reliably supplied to a wide variety of markets and applications. Examples of applications include dental cameras and endoscopes in medical applications, head-up displays in the aerospace industry, aerial cameras and a wide range of special solutions in the field of research and development.

Main responsibilities
•    Perfect preparation: In our in-house training workshop and with a full-time instructor, you’ll learn everything there is to know about processing raw glass and high-precision lenses, prisms, and mirrors.
•    High-tech meets craftsmanship: We’ll teach you how to manufacture and assemble optical components based on technical drawings, using state-of-the-art CNC technology.
•    Quality that impresses: You’ll learn how to clean, coat, and finish optical surfaces for maximum precision, using the latest measurement and inspection methods.
•    Work-life balance: Your 35-hour workweek, 30 days of vacation, and flexible work hours ensure you have plenty of time for yourself and your hobbies.
•    All-Inclusive Package: To help you stay fully focused on your tasks, you can refuel in our in-house cafeteria, which offers meals at a discounted rate. In addition to your apprenticeship stipend—currently €1,308 gross in the first year—you’ll receive a special bonus, capital-forming benefits, monthly allowances, and many employee discounts.
