The Opportunity

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to support the Company's revenue recognition, financial reporting, and compliance activities. Reporting to the Director of Global Revenue, this role will partner with Commercial, Legal, Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure revenue transactions are accounted for accurately and in accordance with ASC 606 and US GAAP.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation, attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and an interest in leveraging technology and automation to improve financial processes.

Main Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition & Contract Review

  • Review customer contracts and amendments to support revenue recognition assessments under ASC 606.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for revenue recognition conclusions.
  • Partner with Commercial, Legal, and Operations teams to obtain information necessary for accounting assessments.
  • Support technical accounting analyses and special projects as needed.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Perform month-end close activities related to revenue accounting and prepare revenue related journal entries.
  • Coordinate and support the Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) journal entry process.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and monthly reporting packages.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end financial reporting activities.

Reconciliations, Analysis & Controls

  • Prepare account reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform variance analyses and investigate significant fluctuations in financial results.
  • Execute and document SOX controls in accordance with established procedures.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies through collaboration with business partners.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and US GAAP.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Support initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the month-end close process.
  • Assist with automation and process improvement projects related to revenue accounting and reporting.
  • Utilize tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Co-pilot, or similar technologies to streamline manual processes and enhance data quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the Global Revenue function.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of accounting, revenue accounting, or finance experience.
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred

  • CPA designation or progress toward certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, technology, or contract-driven environment and experience working with ERP systems a plus.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance activities.
  • Experience with data analytics, automation, or process improvement tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Co-pilot.
  • Experience working with large datasets and financial reporting systems.
