Position Purpose:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to advance their career within a global, technology driven organization. In this role, you will identify, develop, secure, and maintain business opportunities with key customers, positioning Excelitas as a preferred supplier while contributing to strategic sales and manufacturing forecasts.

Main Responsibilities:
• Strengthen Customer Relationships: Position the company and its current and future products for key contract opportunities by developing strong, strategic relationships with customers.
• Deliver Post Contract Support: Provide customers with appropriate levels of post contract support, effectively negotiating and coordinating internal resources to balance the needs of both Excelitas and the customer.
• Lead Bid and Proposal Activities: Lead or support the preparation and submission of bids, quotes, and proposals by defining a winning strategy—commercial, technical, and pricing—while coordinating cross functional input from technical, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
• Drive Cross Functional Problem Solving: Lead or assist cross functional teams in resolving commercial, technical, or manufacturing challenges associated with key account programs.
• Identify New Market Opportunities: Apply strong market awareness to identify new customers and emerging opportunities. Continuously develop market knowledge and contribute insights to product strategy and overall company direction.
• Represent the Company Externally: Serve as the company’s representative at all levels within the customer community, ensuring Excelitas’ interests are effectively promoted and protected.
• Collaborate on Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Maintain regular communication with the Sales Operations Manager regarding forecasts, pipeline status, and quote metrics.
• Maintain Accurate Opportunity Data: Use the company’s ERP system to maintain a complete, accurate, and up to date database of business opportunities to support business planning.
• Ensure Compliance: Understand and fully comply with all national and international export and import regulations, as well as all applicable Company Operating Procedures.
Position Qualifications:

Education & Technical Background
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering or a scientific discipline, enabling credible technical dialogue with engineering and production teams.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and related software tools.
- Knowledge of Microwave Systems and their Applications, with a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
Professional Experience
- Proven ability to manage customers, suppliers, and internal project teams to deliver high‑quality, timely results.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with a strong record of achievement in previous roles.
- Experience building and maintaining influential business relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Core Competencies
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Confident, professional presence with the ability to represent the company effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong motivation, responsiveness, and focus, combined with meticulous attention to detail—critical for ensuring Customer requirements are fully understood and met.
- Excellent influencing skills and relationship‑building capability, supported by outstanding communication abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally, occasionally at short notice (valid driver’s license and passport required).
