Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

 

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

 

 

 

Your Responsibilities...

 

  • Manage and monitor supplier performance, assess risk, evaluate and audit supplier improvement and development actions.
  • Cost planning, PPV targets, audit quality expectations against overall value add plans and raw materials.
  • Identify, screen, analyse and evaluate commodities, suppliers and parts within the respective commodity family
  • Creation of a series of comprehensive commodity strategies and global business plans to meet GCM requirements
  • Qualifying suppliers (using global lists of recommended suppliers (RSL))
  • Working closely with the Global Commodity teams (direct reporting structure and matrix reporting) to ensure adherence to plans, guidelines and compliance targets within global procurement
  • Creation of plans for the activities required to fulfil all plant-based supplier-specific targets and objectives
  • Harmonisation and alignment of all raw material activities, as far as possible, within the global supply chain strategy
  • Definition of KMI, processes, tools and raw material-specific measurements required

 

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities…

 

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mathematics / finance / economics, engineering, chemistry, biology or a related field
  • Several years of in-depth experience in supply chain, materials management, procurement or inventory management
  • Experience in Global Regional Procurement
  • Experience with quality systems, materials management, production, purchasing, sales, cost reduction, project management, R&D, regulation, EH&S, new product introduction, product transfer management, production increases and/or planning
  • Enjoy leading small teams as part of product transfer, outsourcing and internalization projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in leading cross-functional teams
  • Solid knowledge of budgeting, standard setting, variance and gross margin management
  • Solid knowledge of LEAN, GMP manufacturing, Six Sigma, 6S and other quality standards
  • APICS, ISM or project management, quality, LEAN or other certifications are desirable
