Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

 

 

Your Tasks

 

  • Development of complex measurement & test setups for final qualification of complex opto-mechanical modules or fiber assemblies under consideration of regulatory requirements & subsequent transfer to operations

 

  • Concept definition and formulation of requirements for mechanical and software design (e.g. assy-EPS)

 

  • Sensitivity analysis and assessment of disturbance variables

 

  • Budgeting of requirements for (sub-)components (e.g. light sources, detection, linear stages, etc.)

 

  • Definition of explicit test criteria (pass/fail) for structured experiment planning

 

  • Execution of measurement campaigns (design studies, product verification) and analysis of experimental data

 

  • Experimental verification & validation of qualification setups

 

  • Testing of developed procedures, integration into operations and series support

 

  • Formulation & definition of assembly & qualification instructions under consideration of calibration & maintenance criteria

 

 

Your Profile

 

  • Master’s degree in photonics, optical engineering, optical system or laser technology, physics or similar

 

  • Solid knowledge about technical optics (e.g. optical imaging quality, aberrations, etc.) and optical device development

 

  • Experience in measurement and qualification technology, preferably in connection to manufacturing/assembly of optical systems & fiber assemblies

 

  • Experience in evaluation, representation & analysis of experimental data

 

  • Advanced skills in Python scripting for data analysis

 

  • Structured, analytical and team-oriented way of working

 

  • Business fluent in German & English
