Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

Your Tasks:

 

  • Strategic production planning in collaboration with the relevant customer segments, taking into account capital tied up, delivery capacity, and on-time delivery
  • Logistical support for new projects, particularly through materials management to ensure availability, as well as timely and quantity-based scheduling and production control
  • Close collaboration with the business segments to develop and evaluate delivery scenarios, including coordination with international production sites
  • Serve as the central logistics contact in both national and international contexts, and coordinate interfaces between customers, functional departments, and production plants
  • Define, analyze, and monitor logistics key performance indicators (KPIs), and derive and implement appropriate improvement measures
  • Taking responsibility for logistics issues that span departmental boundaries, as well as actively managing and tracking measures through to their sustainable implementation
  • Proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks, and initiating and coordinating appropriate countermeasures in close coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring transparent communication and escalation of critical issues to internal and external contacts

 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • A degree in engineering or business administration, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience in production planning
  • Extensive (international) experience in production planning, procurement, and logistics processes
  • In-depth business knowledge in materials management
  • An understanding of complex workflows and processes, as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Flexibility, resilience, assertiveness, and the ability to get things done
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Very good knowledge of SAP and user proficiency
  • Very good command of German and English
