Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

 

 

 

Your Tasks

 

  • Perform measurement and inspection tasks to verify the optical properties of high-precision optical components.

 

  • Conduct incoming goods inspections by reviewing, filing, and evaluating external inspection reports.

 

  • Accurately document measurement and inspection results in a structured and traceable manner.

 

  • Prepare special approvals and internal quality notifications (Q reports).

 

  • Support the monitoring, calibration, maintenance, and upkeep of machinery, measuring equipment, and testing devices.

 

  • Contribute to maintaining and continuously improving quality standards within the optics area.

 

 

Your Profile

 

  • Completed vocational training as an Optical Technician, Precision Optics Technician, or a comparable technical qualification; additional certification as a Technician or Master Craftsman is an advantage.

 

  • Experience in quality assurance is desirable.

 

  • Proficient in the use of conventional measuring and testing equipment; experience with optical measurement systems is a plus.

 

  • Experience handling sensitive optical components.

 

  • Sound knowledge of optics, relevant industry standards, and inspection procedures.

 

  • Strong analytical thinking and spatial reasoning skills.

 

  • Confident user of common PC applications, particularly SAP and Microsoft Office.

 

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

 

  • Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style with a high sense of responsibility.

 

  • Willingness to work in shifts.
