Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.
In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.
Your Responsibilities
- Assembly of high-precision optical and mechanical components
- Measurement, assembly, and packaging in a cleanroom environment
- Performing tasks based on technical drawings and work instructions
- Operating a laser engraving system; future involvement in creating engraving programs for labeling optical and mechanical components
- Conducting inventory counts and posting transactions in the ERP system (SAP R/3)
- Maintaining a high level of quality awareness, concentration, and manual dexterity
- Strong customer focus (quality and delivery deadlines)
- Team-oriented work approach
Your Profile
- Successfully completed technical training (e.g., precision mechanic, optical technician, or similar)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Initial professional experience in an industrial environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of assembling optical and mechanical components is desirable
- Manual dexterity and endurance for simple to complex assembly tasks
- High level of quality awareness (precision, care, accuracy)
- Willingness to learn and perform, team spirit, flexibility, and reliability
- Basic knowledge of PCs and MS Office; SAP R/3 knowledge is a plus
