Responsible for all after sales related service activities with focus on repair, maintenance, and commissioning support. Accountable for our local service strategy and department organization.

This includes all our product system groups, e.g.: UV-Microwave, UV-LED, electrical infrared and disinfection

 

Role & Responsibilties:

  • Management of the US technical service team with responsibility for the cost center budget
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and improvement and implementation of our service portfolio in the US service organization.
  • Establishment and maintenance of a close cooperation with internal regional interfaces, such as sales, innovation, engineering, quality management and EHS
  • Improvement of existing processes, e.g., by using global synergies
  • Definition and maintenance of regional service team KPIs
  • Tracking of product reliability and active reporting of recurring quality problems to derive further service measures, service packages or to transmit optimization requests to the interface functions.
  • Define, offer, negotiate, and sell service packages to customers considering margins and risk management.
  • Calculates service offerings and manages technical team priorities.
  • Tracks documentation of the work (e.g. scope of damage/repairs, test/error logs) and feedback in SAP and CRM

 

Qualification & Requirements:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, experienced electrical technician, or comparable qualification
  • Above 5 years of working experience in technical service organization
  • Team Lead experience mandatory
  • Experience in handling commissioning and service orders in US.
  • Readiness for multi-day service assignments at the customer's site if needed
  • Good knowledge of fault analysis and troubleshooting procedures
  • Familiar with electrical power supply systems
  • Preferred: Familiar with automation and control, such as PLC or other automation and control technology. Experience of communication protocol: Modbus, PROFINET, Ethernet, CAN Bus or others
  • Strong hands-on ability
  • Communication with internal and external customers. Ability to join cross-functional team projects.
  • Language ability: English .
  • Commercial basics quoting and negotiation of contracts.
  • Positive attitude and confident demeanor even in difficult situations as well as strong customer orientation
  • Open and team-oriented personality
  • Ideally lighting industry working experience.
  • know how in SAP order processing and material management and CRM
  • EHS: awareness of standard regulations in service environments

 

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
