At our Excelitas site in Feldkirchen, we develop and produce highly complex optomechatronic components, assemblies and systems.

Your Responsibilities:

Your tasks as a CNC Turning Expert

  • Manufacture complex and highly precise turning/milling parts made of aluminium, stainless steel, and other materials
  • Independently set up and operate CNC turning-milling centers
  • Preset, set up, and process production orders according to work plans and technical drawings
  • Monitor tools and make necessary program corrections
  • Perform required inspection tasks independently (operator self-inspection)
  • Confidently operate CNC lathes, including maintenance according to maintenance schedules and operating instructions
  • Operate multiple machines
  • Perform auxiliary tasks such as deburring, drilling, reaming, thread cutting, etc.
  • Contribute to improvement projects

Your tasks as a Team Leader

  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of a skilled worker team of 6–8 employees
  • Responsibility for occupational safety in the assigned area
  • Scheduling and coordination of shift plans
  • Responsibility for the on-time completion of production orders within the assigned area


Your Profile:

  • Completed vocational training as a machining technician or CNC lathe operator
  • Further training as a shift supervisor/team leader, alternatively technician or master craftsman
  • Leadership experience is an advantage
  • Several years of professional experience in CNC turning — including driven tools and CNC turning/milling centers
  • Experience with long-turning machines is desirable
  • Confident handling of measuring and inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of CNC controls Siemens 840C and 840D as well as Fanuc is an advantage
  • Willingness to work in a two-shift system
  • Independent and customer-oriented work style, strong team spirit
  • Good German language skills, both written and spoken
