Our facility in Manila, Philippines has been operating since 1996 with key functions in Design and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and other disciplines. This site specializes in product design, process development and mass production of Photodiodes, Photodiode Arrays and High-Performance Sensors. These product technologies are primarily for LiDAR applications such as autonomous vehicles and range finding, as well as safety and security applications including smoke detection and luggage scanning.
We are presently seeking for Equipment Engineering Technician that will support Production in terms of troubleshooting and repair, machine set-up and calibration.
Modules/Backend/Test/HVP
Main Responsibilities:
- Performs daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of the following equipment:
1. Automated Trim and Forming, Backpotting and Test/CCD Inspection/Laser Marking/TR.
2.Discrete component electrical testers.
3.Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) machines.
4.Automated Dambar Cutting and Soldering machines
5.Automated Casting/Encapsulation machines
6.Manual pneumatic and electro-pneumatic equipment
- Executes preventive and predictive maintenance tasks according to schedule.
- Supports root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment-related issues.
- Collaborates with equipment engineers to improve equipment reliability and
performance.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and 5S standards.
- Documents all maintenance activities and equipment performance records
accurately.
Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma/Certificate in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
- Registered Master Electrician is a plus.
Work Experience:
- 1–5 years working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Operating and maintaining customize machines.
- Hands-on experience in tool maintenance, troubleshooting, and PMs.
- Familiarity with PLC, HMI, Vision System, Relays, Sensor, AC/DC Motors
- Handling different assembly equipments.
- Operating vision systems for defect detection.
Technical Skills:
- Operation & Maintenance:
- Familiar with PLC-controlled and PC-based equipment interfaces
- Adjustment of custom machine parameters (alignment, pressure, timing, recipes)
- Troubleshooting:
-Diagnosing machine errors via HMI/PLC interface logs.
-Basic I/O checking and sensor verification.
- PM:
-Supported preventive maintenance with focus on blade alignment, curing oven calibration, etc.
- Software & Tools:
-MS Excel Office
-SPC tools
-Able to interpret PLC error codes and assist in first-level machine troubleshooting.
-Hands-on experience with parameter setting, machine recipe adjustments, and I/O testing
- Quality & Standards:
- Visual inspection System
- ESD-safe handling
- Familiarity with JEDEC MSL, ISO9001 / IATF16949 compliance

- Strong attention to detail in handling delicate wafers and small components.
- Strict adherence to SOP's, safety protocols, and procedures.
- Proactive problem-solving skills using basic root cause analysis techniques.

- Willing to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

- Physically able to perform repetitive tasks during 8 to 12-hour shifts
FOL (Front of Line)
Main Responsibilities:
- Performs daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of the following equipment:
1. Hands-on experience across critical Front-of-Line semiconductor assembly processes, including wafer preparation (wafer mounting, sawing, and handling).
2.Die attach (epoxy, die placement accuracy, bond line control), wirebonding (ball and wedge bonding, parameter setup, and bond integrity checks), and automatic inspection systems (AOI or vision-based inspection).
-Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks according to schedule.
-Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment-related issues.
-Collaborate with equipment engineers to improve equipment reliability and performance.
-Ensure compliance with safety protocols and 5S standards.
-Document all maintenance activities and equipment performance records accurately.
