Our facility in Manila, Philippines has been operating since 1996 with key functions in Design and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and other disciplines. This site specializes in product design, process development and mass production of Photodiodes, Photodiode Arrays and High-Performance Sensors. These product technologies are primarily for LiDAR applications such as autonomous vehicles and range finding, as well as safety and security applications including smoke detection and luggage scanning.
We are presently seeking for a Backend Process Engineer who shall responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining the manufacturing processes that occur in the backend stages of production.
Main Responsibilities:
- Will perform process engineering job on backend processes specifically on encapsulation, metal can sealing / welding, tape and reel and final visual inspection
- Process optimizations and process/material qualifications
- Review and revise manufacturing documentations
- Qualify operators, new machines, new processes
- Improve yield and COQ
- Perform investigation on production line issues, drives resolution and corrective actions
- Provide disposition on non-conforming products/materials
- Provide in-depth analysis on process issues especially when it comes to encapsulation and other processes which require analysis relating to material interactions and able to provide effective resolutions.
Requirements:
- Graduate of Material Science Engineering or equivalent course.
- With at least 2 years of related work experience
- Well versed in material interactions such as but not limited to the process of encapsulation.
- Capable to troubleshoot backend issues related to materials and provide sound resolutions.
- Knowledgeable on encapsulation materials, interactions between materials, characterization of epoxies and optimization of mixing and curing processes.
- Must have good interpersonal skills. Good leadership skills and results oriented. Self-driven. Collaborative. Versatile and fast learner.
- With background in material science or other related engineering discipline
- Knowledgeable on SolidWorks or other simulation tools is a plus.
