We are presently seeking a Production Supervisor is to manage people and resources in order to meet production schedules and demands. The Production Supervisor will manage all employees wokring the second shift. They also perform the responsibilities of a Technician, as well as provide technical and logistical leadership to a designated group of employees.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with manager to organize human and material resources in order to meet customer requirements
• Provide training on specific tasks, including process and product details
• Participate in production meetings and maintain focus on backlog and customer deadlines
• Convey information and feedback with quality and production issues on a daily basis
• Open the lines of communication between management and employees
• Work with manager to resolve personnel situations and counsel employees if their work or attitude does not meet Company expectations
• Relay information about productivity and other issues as they arise
• Take responsibility and ownership of their respective work area
• Lead by example and uphold Company policies
• Perform various production control/planning responsibilities
• Work with technical staff on process improvements and new process implementation

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 year technical degree or a minimum of 5 years optics or lasers manufacturing experience desired
• 5 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to prioritize customers’ needs and focus on designated group’s backlog
• Ability to perform root cause analysis when production problems arise
• Desire and maturity to lead group of employees

Pay Range: $65,800- $98,000

Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
