We are presently seeking a Production Maintenance Technician who will ensure optimal functionality of manufacturing facilities to support continuous operations and meet business objectives in a high-paced production environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and building systems
- Understanding of PLC’s ability to access programs for troubleshooting purposes
- Expert-level proficiency with hand tools and advanced electrical testing equipment, including the ability to accurately diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping systems, and water systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of service ticket repair and preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general manufacturing equipment such as motors and rotating machinery
- Work with production personnel to troubleshoot and understand mechanical problems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
- Maintains building, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and process gas systems
- Continually and informally assesses building, grounds, and machinery for functionality, professional appearance, and safety
- Ability to communicate, plan, and manage projects with outside vendors, as required, to support preventative and corrective actions on production equipment
- Assists the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
- with daily and special projects
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant Manufacturing facility maintenance function is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or trade schools preferred
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Personal Computer skills, including proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated dependability and flexibility
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Positive, honest, creative, and energetic attitude
- Ability to handle multiple roles and support requests simultaneously with excellent follow-up
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to be on your feet for eight hours
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience and proficiency required.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.
This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.
