We are presently seeking an Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician who will support our Optics manufacturing company. 

Main responsibilities:

• Understanding of PLCs, ability to access programs for troubleshooting purposes
• Common knowledge of hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Maintains detailed documentation of service repair tickets and preventive maintenance tasks performed
• Support Safety Program with facilities issues
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance and reports on general manufacturing equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors and rotating machinery
• Work with production personnel to troubleshoot and understand mechanical problems
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, check blueprints, repair manuals, and maintain parts catalog.
• Maintain building, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gas systems
• Contract with outside suppliers as required to support all above
• Performs required inventory transactions to ensure accurate inventory of parts and supplies
• Continually, informally assesses building, grounds, and machinery with respect to functionality, professional appearance, and safety
• Assists Facilities manager with daily and special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant facility maintenance function(s)
• HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical experience/skills preferred
• PLC Programming
• Manufacturing experience required
• Cleanroom, Building Automated Systems and DI Water experience is a plus
• Personal Computer skills including proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrated dependability and flexibility
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Positive, honest, creative, and energetic attitude
• Ability to handle multiple roles and support requests simultaneously with excellent follow-up
• Ability to lift up to of 40 pounds
• Ability to be on your feet for eight hours
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or trade school preferred

Benefits start day 1: PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay,

Pay Range $28-$34 per hour, depending on experience.

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
