Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are presently seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician that will maintain the facility in working condition to support business needs. 

Main responsibilities:

• Preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Common knowledge of hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Assist with minor building and ground maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Continually assess building and grounds condition (cleanliness, orderliness and presentability), suggest and implement improvements
• Assist with troubleshooting issues on manufacturing equipment
• Assist with resolving problems with down manufacturing equipment
• Support Safety Program with facilities issues
• Contract with outside suppliers as required to support all above
• Assists Facilities manager with daily and special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to follow verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Demonstrated dependability and flexibility
• Positive, honest, creative, and energetic attitude
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to handle multiple roles and support requests simultaneously with excellent follow-up
• Ability to be on your feet for eight hours
• “35 lbs. unassisted” IAW Excelitas’ safety lifting requirement
• Handle should be change to something like: “Ability to manage multiple roles and support requests concurrently, while maintaining thorough and timely follow-up.”

Pay Range:  $28.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Our facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra-precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub-assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in-house metrology lab.

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
