HR Generalist I

We are presently seeking an HR Generalist for our Billerica site. This position will provide day-to-day HR generalist support. This position reports to our HR Manager and is responsible for providing high-level support and service to our employees to enable a positive and productive work environment to our growing organization.
Your responsibilities:
- Facilitate SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System;
- Update HRIS (Employee Central) with employee changes, job requisitions and prepare reports as needed;
- Research, resolve questions and perform tasks involving HRIS, payroll, time cards, benefits, leave of absences, performance management, recognition, morale, etc.;
- Recommend corrective action as needed;
- Assist in the coordination of open enrollment; hold meetings and assist employees;
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries;
- Understand compliance records management and maintain employee personnel records;
- Assist in the recruitment process: Conduct interviews, start background and reference checks and issues relevant correspondence;
- Process termination paperwork and conduct exit interviews;
- Schedule and conduct new hire orientation and training;
- Assist in facilitating on-site training;
- Participate in the Employee Activity Committee (EAC), engage employees with activities and monthly events to maintain a positive employee morale and company culture;
- Administer service awards;
- Process tuition reimbursement, rewards and recognitions;
- Responsible for daily administrative tasks of the human resources department including verifications of employment, filing, faxing, copying and organizing departmental files;
- Recommend best practices in HR;
- Other duties as assigned.
Your requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field; PHR certification a plus;
- At least two years of relevant HR experience;
- Experience with HRIS a must – Employee Central a plus;
- SAP and SuccessFactors Learning Management System experience highly desired;
- Experience with interviewing and general recruitment processes a must;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Ability to prioritize tasks;
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality;
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations;
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors Learning Management System highly desirable;
- Must be a team player;
- Visa sponsorship is not available for any position at Excelitas;
