Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for Quality Assurance Department. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that products and materials sourced from suppliers meet the company’s quality and compliance standards. This role supports supplier qualification, monitors supplier performance, and manages incoming quality inspections.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute incoming inspections of direct materials to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.

Define inspection criteria, sampling plans, and acceptance standards based on product specifications and risk levels.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.

Manage supplier-related non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.

Conduct supplier audits for qualification, re-assessment, and issue resolution.

Support the onboarding and qualification of new suppliers in alignment with quality and procurement requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Procurement, Production) to address material quality issues.

Maintain accurate and complete records of inspections, supplier documents, audit findings, and improvement actions.

Assist in the development and implementation of supplier quality procedures and work instructions.

Participate in internal and external audits related to supplier quality systems.

Ensure compliance to quality, safety, health, and environment policy in daily job.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.

2–5 years of experience in quality engineering or supplier quality, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of quality tools and techniques (e.g., 8D, FMEA, CAPA, SPC).

Proficiency in using inspection and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers).

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.

Trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in English communication skill both in written and spoken.
