Process Engineer
Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are presently seeking a PROCESS ENGINEER who will be responsible develop, sustain and improve process of production in his/her designated area, creates process documentation, and solve process issues by using process engineering skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and drive improvement of production yield using statistical techniques (e.g., SPC).
- Support troubleshooting of process-related issues through structured problem-solving.
- Develop and optimize processes for the introduction of new products (NPI).
- Qualify new or relocated equipment, new materials, or new processes used in manufacturing.
- Analyze and provide comprehensive evaluation or qualification reports.
- Create, implement, and maintain product and process documentation (e.g., WI, SOP, FMEA).
- Evaluate and certify production operators to ensure competency in process execution.
- Provide technical advice on material suitability and process compatibility.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste and resolve chronic process issues (e.g., using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Equipment, Quality, Production) to support manufacturing and process-related projects.
- Responsible to comply to procedure related with quality, environment, heath, and safety management system in respective area in-charge.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing industry in relevant role.
- Familiar working with statistical technique. Sound understanding of process control and process capability measurement technique.
- Familiar with problem solving tools.
- Certified/ trained Six Sigma Green Belt is added advantage.
- Good communication skill and project management skill.
- Hands-on experience in electronics, semiconductor, or PCBA manufacturing is an advantage.
- Candidate must be proficient in English communication skill both written and spoken.
