Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

Your Responsibilities

• Manufacturing of various optical components using all relevant production techniques

• Operating and setting up different grinding machines

• Preparing and cementing workpieces for processing

• Independent quality assessment and self-inspection

• Performing all measurements and inspections during the manufacturing process in accordance with specifications

• Documentation and safeguarding of all performed measurements

• Cleaning and maintenance of machines according to the maintenance schedule

• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery deadlines

• Cleaning and maintenance of used tools and auxiliary equipment

Your Profile 

• Completed vocational training as a precision optician, precision mechanic, or comparable qualification

• At least 2 years of professional experience preferred

• Basic IT skills (MS Office and SAP)

• Technical expertise as a precision optician

• Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team
